Building Sketch.Social, a place where artists can create, remix, and build on each other's work.

Hey, I'm Evan. I've always been the kind of person who's making something. Growing up, that meant drawing comics, experimenting with animation, making stop-motion videos, and eventually getting into filmmaking and video production. I love the process of taking an idea that's stuck in your head and turning it into something real. A while back, I started thinking about how most art websites focus on finished work. You post a piece, people like it, and that's about it. I wanted to build something that focused more on the creative process itself, so I created Sketch.Social. Sketch.Social is a place where artists can build on each other's artwork. Someone can start a drawing, another person can continue it, someone else can remix it, and before long an entire chain of artists has helped shape the final result. It's been really fun seeing people use it in ways I never originally planned, from collaborative comics and visual stories to random art experiments that take on a life of their own. Right now I'm focused on growing Sketch.Social, learning as much as I can about building communities and products, and connecting with other creative people. When I'm not working on the site, you'll usually find me editing videos, watching movies, drawing, or diving into whatever random topic has caught my interest that week.
