Field is a core AI product — ambient intelligence infrastructure for the maternal community health workforce. We give the workforce a complete OS and visible intelligence layer to health systems and payers who are currently flying blind to community-based service delivery. The core AI engineering challenges; — Ambient audio capture and on-device speech recognition optimized for noisy, real-world field environments; homes, compounds, dense apartment buildings. — On-device NLP and LLM inference. All processing happens locally. No raw audio ever leaves the device. Privacy-preserving by architecture, not policy. — Clinical NLP and named entity recognition: extracting structured clinical observations, social determinants, risk flags, and follow-up anchors from unstructured conversation. — Fine-tuned models for community health context: distinct from clinical settings, requiring domain-specific training data, terminology, and interaction patterns. — Multiple output generation from a single inference pipeline — a structured billing-ready clinical note and a richer care intelligence layer, simultaneously. — Multi-modal input handling: ambient listening, voice memo/agent, and rapid structured entry, unified under one underlying AI engine. — Privacy-preserving federated aggregation for population intelligence dashboards: anonymized signals derived from distributed data that never centralizes individual records. — FHIR-compatible structured output generation for optional EHR integration and billing platform APIs. Who we are looking for You have built or can build production AI systems: speech recognition, NLP pipelines, on-device ML, or LLM fine-tuning at scale. You have trust layer about privacy-preserving architecture. You understand that deploying AI in low-resource, high-trust community settings is a fundamentally different engineering problem than building for clinical or enterprise environments.
